Dr. Nilesh K. Modi- M.C.A., Ph.D.

Dr Nilesh Modi, a researcher and academician, working with highly industry standards having full focused vision to bring the institute at the highest pick of cut-throat academic environment, for the national leverage. He is having rich experience of around 12 years in academics and IT industry. He is holding Doctorate in E-Security (Computer Science and Application). Continuing his research on Cyber Security, presently he is pursuing post doctoral research on Wireless Communication and Security and certification as an Ethical Hacking.
Recently he has been awarded with “Career Award for Young Teachers (CAYT)” by AICTE, New Delhi. The award money Rs. 9,00,000/- is suppose to be spent on the research titled “Modeling a framework for efficient and secured use of networked resources for an organization in recent cyber age” He also has been awarded with another award as “Principal Investigator” for the MODROB (Modernisation & Removal of Obsolescence) Scheme by AICTE, New Delhi. The award money Rs. 9,87,000/- is suppose to be spent on the research titled “Smarten‐Up the Computing Facility With Advanced Teaching Learning Aids” During the Annual National Convention-2013 of Computer Society of India at Vishakhapatnam, he was honored with Significant Contribution Award for his contribution to the society from last ten years.
He is working as a recognized research supervisors for Ph.D. and M.Phil. Programme for different universities in India. He has reviewed number of Ph.D., M.Phil and M.Tech thesis from different universities in India and abroad also evaluated the scholars for the same. He is also serving as a manuscript reviewer and program committee member for different research journals and conferences of national and international repute in the world. He has very good number of research under his name and presented more than 75 research papers in International and National Journals and Conferences. He has delivered number of expert talk on eSecurity and hacking in National and International Conferences.
Dr Modi, a person with vibrancy having his active involvement as a life member of CSI, IEEE, IACSIT, IACSI, IAEng apart from his academic and industrial career. As a consultant he is contributing for different system development projects with IT industry and carried out different Government Projects. He is also serving as a member of board of studies and selection committee in Gujarat Technological University along with different universities in the country. He is working as district coordinator for SANDHAN Program initiated by Government of Gujarat.

  • Guided the students for Project of Swarnim Gujarat Web Portal for the competition named Swarnim Gujarat from the academic perspective during February-March 2009, which was named Best Project Award by Government of Gujarat.
  • Guided the students for IBM ACADEMIC INITIATE Projects for the competition named INVITE organized by GIL, Gandhinagar and IBM, Banglore for the Project named “Kala Academy – Portal of Artists” during July-December 2005.
  • Developed a Website named http://www.patantourism.gujarat.gov.in It is a part of Vibrant Gujarat a Government of Gujarat Project, also Government has declared to celebrate Year 2006 as Tourism Year, and it is the first project under this Celebration. This project was totally under the watch of Shri Anandiben Patel, Education Minister, Government of Gujarat and Collector of Patan District.
  • Developed a Web-Portal for Narmada Nigam, Government of Gujarat It is a dynamic informative website that gives all the information regarding the work done by Government of Gujarat for Rehabilitation and Resettlement for the citizens of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. This project is totally under the watch of Rehabilitation Centre, Baroda. Tools: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, My SQL, GIF - Animator, Visual Interdev, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dream viewer, Flash Duration: 4 Months.
